it's luke, the lead singer of the kooks :)

they played at the electric factory in philly and put on an AMAZING show.
and dearest techie, if you are reading this, thank you for the set list.. haha

he was a drunk mess, but he was ridiculously nice and thanked/signed autographs/took pictures for everyone that waited.
he even gave some girl a kiss on the cheek.. haha

and i was in the front row, so i got some pretty sweet pictures for all the other fans on here :)

you totally can't tell, but when we were waiting by the side for luke, bam margera (who lives in the area) came out.
a couple scene girls freaked and then he left to go to some bar.. haha

so yeah. it was a pretty amazing night. i definitely recommend seeing them live if you can.
and yeah, haters to the left about my appearance or whatever. i just thought i'd share for all the kooks fans :]

omg, you guys are never going to believe who i met tonight...

FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i still can't believe it, tbh. they played at the tower theatre in upper darby, PA and the show was completely sold out. they are amazing live, completely chill and totally what you would expect from seeing them on the show. they played a couple new songs that were really good and hopefully will be on season 2. when we stayed after to meet them they didn't even take that long to come out and they were signing autographs and taking pictures with EVERYONE (it was a pretty big crowd). they were so sweet and kept talking about how nervous they were cause they hadn't performed in a while. they joked around with everyone and even though me and my friend were both being complete star-struck dorks, they were totally chill. jemaine even signed my friend's ticket with an "i love you" haha, bret is also completely adorable and i had to restrain myself from not hugging him like a crazy woman. ahhh basically, it was one of the most amazing nights ever!

for everyone who has tickets to the other shows, GET EXCITED!

oh and ps, clearly i learned my lesson the first time about posting my face on ontd, so that's the reason for the weird smiley faces.

POPPED! MISSION

Our mission is to provide Philadelphia with a sustainable, all ages music festival featuring genre-spanning local and national performances while bringing global media exposure to Philadelphia.

POPPED! Music Festival 2008

The POPPED! Festival is a 3-day event that will occur annually in Philadelphia. In its second year, POPPED! will use Drexel University, Trocadero, and World Cafe Live as its venues over three days, June 20, 21, 22nd 2008. POPPED! will host globally recognized artists as well as breakthrough local artists, creating lineups each night with unique performances in a boutique setting.

In addition to extraordinary entertainment, POPPED! has a focus on sustainability. The Festival will have a focus on being "green" from working with sustainably minded businesses in the region to recycling plastic, glass, cans, and paper, while educating concert-goers on the importance of a sustianable lifestyle.

Tickets
On sale FRIDAY APRIL 25th at 10 am

Children
Children of all ages are welcomed to attend the festival ONLY ON SATURDAY JUNE 21st and children under the age of 10 will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Bicycles
We highly encourage biking to the festival in efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. A guarded "bike check" will be provided where you may store your bike while you attend the event.

ATMs
ATMS will be available on festival grounds.

guess who i met last night!

KATE NASH! who is honestly one of the sweetest people i have ever met. she played at the trocadero in chinatown on saturday and the trachtenburg family slideshow players opened for her. she put on a really good show, especially since it was the first one on her american tour. we stayed after for a while to meet her, and when she came out she was more than happy to sign autographs for everyone and take pictures. she's completely adorable and i suggest trying to meet her if you're going to one of her shows :)

anyways.. i took some pictures and videos for all the kate nash fans on here! they're not the best because we weren't toooo close, but they're definitely not bad.
